Video Privacy Masker
Draw a rectangle around a person, plate or other visible detail. The browser compares pixels between frames to suggest where the box moved. Select any frame to correct a lost track, then inspect and mark every output frame before you can export an opaque black-mask video. Audio is always removed. Tracking is an aid, not an identity or face detector; check the complete result before sharing.

How to use
- Choose a local video no longer than 6 seconds or create the example.
- On the first frame, draw a rectangle over the detail to hide and apply it.
- Open each sampled frame in the timeline; correct the box when tracking is uncertain or misplaced.
- Compare the original and masked frame, then mark that frame reviewed. Repeat for every frame.
- Encode and preview the silent masked video, then download it and check it once more before sharing.

Frequently asked questions
Does this automatically detect faces or guarantee anonymization?
No. You choose a rectangular target. Local pixel matching estimates its movement, and mistakes remain possible even when the confidence indicator looks good. Every sampled output frame requires your review; inspect the downloaded video before any disclosure.
Why does the tracker ask for a manual correction?
A scene cut, nearly uniform box, large jump or poor pixel match can make a suggested location unreliable. Draw or enter a new rectangle on that frame; tracking resumes from that correction. Even unflagged suggestions can be wrong.
Are all original frames or the original audio kept?
No. The tool deliberately samples at 8 fps, up to 48 output frames, and encodes only those reviewed masked frames. It never adds an audio track. This changes motion smoothness and may lose visual detail; inspect the result.
How is this different from Photo Blur?
Photo Blur works on one still image. This tool follows a selected box over time, lets you correct any sampled frame, and exports an actual short video.
What file and browser limits apply?
One local video up to 64 MiB and 6 seconds; 8 fps and a maximum 480-pixel edge. MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV container bytes are accepted if your browser can decode the contained codec. H.264 or VP8 encoding must also be supported. Audio is removed.
Privacy
Video bytes and decoded frames stay in this browser tab. No model, server upload, browser storage or external search is used. The output is silent. Clearing the tool releases file URLs and in-memory frames.
