Email Template Preview
Paste an HTML email and inspect its table layout at 320, 600 and 800 pixels in an isolated browser frame. Remote images become labeled placeholders, links are inert, and active markup is removed. Review likely compatibility concerns and edit a generated plain-text alternative before downloading it. This browser rendering is a drafting aid, not a reproduction of Gmail, Outlook or every mail client.
Key features
- Render sanitized email HTML at 320, 600 and 800 px without external requests
- Measure horizontal overflow at each preview width
- Replace remote images with labeled placeholders and disable links
- Review missing alt text, conditional comments, style-only layouts and CSS feature risks
- Generate and edit a text/plain draft, then download it as TXT
How to use
- Paste your email HTML or load the table-layout example.
- Run the local preview and compare 320, 600 and 800 px widths and overflow.
- Review blocked resources and CSS advisories; add fallbacks in the source template.
- Edit the generated plain-text draft for links, wording and reading order.
- Download the TXT alternative and test the final HTML in the actual mail clients you support.
Use cases
- Catch a 600 px email that overflows a narrow viewport
- Check image alt text and identify blocked tracking pixels before sharing a draft
- Prepare a readable text/plain part to pair with the HTML version
Frequently asked questions
Does this reproduce Gmail or Outlook rendering?
No. It uses your browser for a local visual draft. Mail clients use different HTML/CSS engines and may rewrite markup. Test the delivered message in your target clients.
Why are images and links replaced or disabled?
The preview deliberately never fetches remote resources or opens links. Image placeholders keep alt text visible; links stay as text. Check real assets only in an authorized mail-client test.
Are CSS warnings definite incompatibilities?
No. They are review prompts for layouts that can depend on a specific client or fallback. Support varies by client and version; the tool does not maintain a full compatibility matrix.
Is the generated text the final MIME text/plain part?
No. It is an editable draft extracted from visible text. Add meaningful link destinations and adjust table reading order, then include it as a separate text/plain part in your sending system.
What are the input limits?
The HTML limit is 96 KiB, combined CSS is limited to 64 KiB, and very deep or large DOM trees are rejected. External assets, script execution, forms and mail sending are outside this tool.
Privacy
The HTML stays in browser memory. The sanitized preview blocks scripts, forms and remote loads; no email is sent or uploaded. The plain-text download contains your edited text.
