Frequently asked questions
Can I use only a top or bottom caption?
Yes. Leave the unused caption empty to draw only the other one. If both are empty, the tool asks you to enter a caption.
How are caption limits and font sizes calculated?
Each caption supports up to 500 JavaScript string units. Font size is 2–16% of image width, edge spacing is 0–35% of image height, and outline thickness is 0–20% of font size.
Does wrapping break Korean or combined emoji?
Wrapping occurs at grapheme boundaries so combined emoji are not split in the middle. Actual appearance and support depend on your device’s fonts. The PNG stores what the current browser renders.
What happens if captions overlap or do not fit?
Generation stops with an explanation when a caption extends outside the image or the two caption regions overlap. Reduce font size or edge spacing, or shorten the text. Text is not silently omitted or squeezed to fit.
What happens to a transparent source image?
The meme keeps transparent areas and draws captions over the source. The preview’s checkerboard is only an on-screen guide and is not included in the PNG. Outlines around color emoji may differ by browser.
Why does the download disappear after I change a setting?
The old result is invalidated and its temporary URL is released so you do not download an outdated caption or style. Create a new PNG to use the current settings.
Privacy
Selected images and captions are processed in the current page’s browser memory. This tool does not send files or captions to a server or automatically save them in browser storage. The result is saved to your device only when you choose PNG download.
