Round Image Corners
Mask the four corners of an image with chosen radii and save a PNG. Use one value for all corners or adjust each independently. No background or padding is added, so the original width, height and remaining transparency are retained.
Key features
- One shared radius or four independently entered radii
- Keep a corner square by setting it to zero
- Proportionally scale radii together if neighboring corners would overlap
- Retain original dimensions with transparent removed corners
- Show effective radii and actual PNG dimensions
How to use
- Choose an image or load the example.
- Choose shared or independent corner controls.
- Enter pixel radii and check the effective values.
- Create the rounded-corner PNG and inspect the transparent corners.
- Download the PNG. Generate again after changing values.
Use cases
- Prepare rounded images for a document or presentation
- Create a photo with only selected corners rounded
- Save transparent corners for use against different backgrounds
- Apply a rounded shape to the image file itself
Frequently asked questions
How does this differ from Screenshot Beautifier’s corners?
This tool adds no background or padding and retains original dimensions. Removed corners are transparent and all four radii can be set independently. Screenshot Beautifier composites onto a chosen opaque background.
Can I round just one corner?
Yes. Choose independent controls, set the desired corner radius and leave the others at zero. Top-left, top-right, bottom-right and bottom-left are controlled separately.
Why can effective radii differ from my inputs?
If two neighboring radii add up to more than the relevant image edge, all four are reduced by the same factor. This prevents overlapping or reversed corner paths. The effective radii are displayed.
Is the whole image resized or cropped?
Output width and height match the source. Only the area outside the rounded corner boundaries is made transparent. There is no whole-image scaling. Antialiasing is applied at the curves.
What does a radius of zero do?
It keeps that corner square. If all radii are zero, the decoded original pixels are exported as a same-size PNG. Original file metadata and compressed bytes are not preserved.
Why can transparent corners look white?
The PNG stores transparency, but the app opening it may show a white, black or other background. This page’s checkerboard is a transparency guide and is not included in the file.
Privacy
Selected images and editing settings are processed in the current page’s browser memory. This tool does not send images, captions or coordinates to a server or automatically save them in browser storage. Choosing download saves the resulting PNG to your device.
