Frequently asked questions
How many words do I need?
Without a free center, 3×3 needs 9 words, 4×4 needs 16 and 5×5 needs 25. A free center reduces the odd-grid requirements to 8 and 24. If you provide more candidates, the tool selects the required number without replacement.
Can I enter the same word twice?
Identical candidates produce an error so you can remove the duplicate yourself. The tool trims surrounding whitespace, ignores blank lines and normalizes Unicode before comparison. English letter case is significant. You can enter up to 100 words, each up to 32 Unicode code points.
Why is there no free center on a 4×4 card?
An even grid has no single center cell. The option is available on 3×3 and 5×5 cards, where the center starts marked and cannot be unmarked. Clearing marks also keeps the free center selected.
Which patterns count as bingo lines?
A complete row, column or either corner-to-corner diagonal counts as one line. Small squares and zigzags do not count. Unmarking a cell immediately removes any completed lines that relied on that cell.
Does the number card follow official 75-ball rules?
No. It is a general grid sampled from your inclusive range between 1 and 999. It does not restrict separate B, I, N, G and O columns to different ranges, call numbers automatically or synchronize multiple players. Regeneration can coincidentally produce the same card.
What do the SVG and CSV files contain?
The 600×640 SVG contains the current words, marks and free center. The CSV contains grid values in the same arrangement, without selection marks. Values that could be spreadsheet formulas receive a protective leading apostrophe. Settings changes and leaving the page do not preserve the card; download any result you want to keep.
Privacy
Words, number ranges, cards and marks are processed in current-page memory. This tool does not send input or game state to a server or analytics event, or automatically keep it in browser storage. Choosing SVG or CSV download saves the card contents to your device.
