PDF Outline Editor
Edit the bookmarks shown in a PDF viewer's navigation pane. Import an existing outline, add items, move whole subtrees among siblings, change levels, and set a target page or vertical position. The output contains real PDF Outlines and Dest objects, which are reopened to check hierarchy and destinations. This does not reorder document pages.

Frequently asked questions
Does this move or reorder the pages?
No. Page order is unchanged; only the navigation bookmarks and their targets are edited.
Will bookmarks appear in PDF viewers?
Yes. The tool writes PDF Outlines and GoTo destinations, then reopens the output to check titles, levels, pages and vertical positions. Viewers may display the pane differently.
Is every existing outline preserved?
Ordinary local page destinations are imported. External URLs, actions, deep levels and special destinations can be skipped or simplified to Fit/FitH. The tool warns with counts and requires explicit acknowledgment before saving.
Can I edit a digitally signed PDF?
No. Documents with signature fields are refused because rewriting a PDF may invalidate its existing signature.
What units does vertical position use?
PDF points (pt), increasing upward from the page bottom. Leave it blank to use a whole-page Fit destination.
Privacy
