Strict UTF-8 JSON, format local-phonetic-lexicon-v1, up to 2,000 entries and 1 MiB. Import replaces this tab's lexicon only after validation. Export the current lexicon first if needed.
Look up a word in an attributed local lexicon and compare its IPA candidates by dialect and usage. The included record example has five transcriptions from Wiktionary. You can add your own entries with source and license details or import a JSON lexicon you are allowed to use.
No. Only record is included. Other words appear only after you add a sourced entry or import an authorized lexicon. The tool never guesses an IPA transcription or calls a paid dictionary.

The five record IPA strings are attributed to Wiktionary contributors, record English pronunciation, revision 92747840 dated 2026-09-21, under CC BY-SA 4.0. The source link, version and license appear on every example candidate. No audio or images were copied.
It stays in this tab until you leave. Export JSON before closing if you need it later. File import and editing happen locally; CSV is a report, not a restorable lexicon.
The lookup, edits and imports run in this browser tab. No entry is uploaded by this tool. Source links open a separate site only when you select them. Verify a source's terms before importing or sharing its data.
