Search Performance Analyzer
Compare two exports you own at the same source, surface and reporting grain. Beyond totals, this tool exposes period length, CTR denominators, missing categories and potentially duplicated aggregate rows.
Key features
- Keep Bing Web, Bing All, Naver Web and other source scopes distinct with explicit CSV columns
- Compare clicks, impressions, CTR and per-calendar-day rates for two periods
- Compare pages and queries; show observed daily rows only when a date column exists
- Suppress raw total changes across unequal periods and show labeled per-day changes
- Reject duplicate keys, explicit total rows, out-of-range dates and malformed counts
- Analyze in your browser, then save guarded comparison CSV or JSON
How to use
- Confirm both CSVs come from the same search service, surface and page/query reporting grain.
- Enter the previous and current date ranges, then choose files or paste CSV text.
- Read columns and map date, page, query, clicks and impressions to the actual headers.
- Run the comparison and review warnings, period totals, daily rates, CTR and page/query differences.
- Save a comparison CSV or JSON and reconcile it with the original exports when needed.
Use cases
- Compare page clicks between two weeks of Bing Web search data.
- Review query impressions and CTR across Naver Web search periods.
- Compare a 7-day and a 30-day export by labeled per-day rates.
- Catch duplicate date-and-URL rows before treating them as added performance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I combine Bing and Naver numbers?
This analyzer assumes both CSVs in one comparison share a search service, surface and reporting grain. Their measurement definitions and coverage differ, so it does not combine the two services. Analyze them separately.
Why can page or query totals differ from the dashboard?
Bing's official guide says page and keyword tables cover Web traffic, and table totals may differ from chart totals. This tool sums only the rows you provide; it does not claim to reproduce a site-wide dashboard total.
What is CTR when impressions are zero?
CTR has a zero denominator and is unavailable, not 0%. A percentage change from a zero previous click or impression count is also unavailable rather than infinity or an invented 100%.
How do unequal period lengths work?
The analyzer divides supplied-row clicks and impressions by the selected calendar days and suppresses raw total change. It cannot tell a missing date from a true zero, so check the observed-day count and warning when you map a date column.
May I mix page, query and site-total rows?
No. Those are different aggregation grains. Both exports must contain the same grain. Choose page-by-query only for rows with a unique pair; duplicate keys and explicit total rows are rejected.
Does this predict rankings or revenue?
No. It compares only your supplied performance rows. It does not measure indexing, search volume, ad revenue, causes of ranking movement or future outcomes.
Are my CSV files uploaded?
Selected CSV files are read in browser memory, with no automatic save or server upload. Saved CSV/JSON may include private page URLs and queries; review before sharing.
Privacy
Selected CSVs and comparisons stay in browser memory. They are not uploaded or automatically saved. Downloads can include page URLs and queries.
