Frequently asked questions
Is any word with the same initials accepted?
No. Only the registered main answer and its explicitly listed aliases count. Another word with the same initials but a different meaning is not accepted. Use the hint to identify the intended meaning. The main answer and aliases appear after a correct answer or giving up.
Which aliases are accepted?
The current extra answers are 계란 for 달걀, 거북 for 거북이, 노트 for 공책 and 제과점 for 빵집. Other questions have no aliases. The tool does not guess typos or automatically accept similar expressions.
How are spaces and decomposed Hangul handled?
Answers are normalized to Unicode NFC and whitespace is removed before comparison. 사 과 is therefore accepted as 사과, and valid standard decomposed syllables can be composed. A sequence of compatibility jamo such as ㅅㅏㄱㅘ or an English translation is not converted into the answer.
Do hints and wrong answers affect the score?
A correct answer earns one point regardless of hints or earlier attempts. Wrong answers have no penalty and you can retry the same question. There is a limit of 100 checks per question; after that you can give up and continue. Giving up earns zero points.
Can a question repeat within a session?
The selected category is shuffled and consumed without repeats. You must answer correctly or give up before continuing. A session ends after all selected questions are resolved. A new session may overlap with earlier questions. The fixed example remains visibly distinguished from random play.
Does the English page quiz English words?
No. It is still a Korean initial-consonant and vocabulary learning tool, with Korean answers. Only the controls, guidance and explanatory hints switch to English. The content uses everyday nouns and original hints, not copied work excerpts or external quiz questions.
