Crossword Builder
Enter 2–16 words with their own clues. Each NFC Korean syllable or English A–Z letter fills one cell, and English is uppercased. The bounded greedy layout checks matching crossings and side contact, but does not prove a globally optimal placement or a unique verbal answer. Every unplaced word is reported.

Frequently asked questions
How are Korean words split into cells?
Input is NFC-normalized, so ‘사과’ takes two cells: ‘사’ and ‘과’. English A–Z uses one uppercase letter per cell. Spaces, digits, emoji, separated Jamo and accented Latin letters are not accepted in words.
Why are some words unplaced?
A word may lack a shared letter with placed words or may have no legal spot under the crossing, endpoint and side-contact rules within 17×17. A separate message reports a candidate-check cap. None of these outcomes proves that another arrangement cannot exist.
Is there exactly one possible answer?
No guarantee. This tool does not judge clue meanings or dictionary alternatives. Its deterministic greedy placement is neither global optimization nor exhaustive proof.
How are puzzle and answer files separated?
The puzzle SVG contains numbers, blank cells and clues. The answer SVG and on-screen letters appear only after explicit reveal confirmation. Session JSON contains the original words and guesses, so share only the puzzle SVG if answers should stay hidden.
Are my words sent to a server?
No. Authoring, placement, solving, saving and import run in the current browser tab without automatic remote submission.
