Kanban Project Board
Make task cards and place them in Backlog, In Progress or Done on a small project board. A per-column work-in-progress limit blocks additions and moves that would exceed it. You can reorder cards and review when changes happened. Save a file and import it again later; there is no account or synchronization server.

How to use
- Explore the example or start a new project and save its title.
- Enter a card title and optional assignee and description to add it to Backlog.
- Set WIP limits, then move cards by dragging, direction buttons or Alt+arrow keys.
- If a capacity warning appears, finish an existing card or change the limit first.
- Download the project JSON and import it next time. You can also save the activity CSV.

Frequently asked questions
How do WIP limits work?
A positive integer per column blocks card creation or movement above the limit. A blank value means unlimited. Reducing the limit below the current count is also rejected. The limit does not calculate staff availability or a completion date.
Can I move cards with a keyboard?
Focus a card and press Alt+Left/Right to change columns or Alt+Up/Down to reorder in a column. Every card also has direction buttons available with Tab and Enter/Space.
Does the board save automatically?
No. The board stays in this page's browser memory. Download its project JSON before closing the tab, then import it on your next visit. There is no account, share link or real-time collaboration.
What happens when I import a file?
Only strict local-kanban-board-v1 JSON is accepted, and a valid file replaces the whole board. The importer checks size, field shape, duplicate card IDs, statuses, WIP and history sequence. An error leaves the current board intact. Inspect untrusted files before use.
Is the change history unlimited?
The project keeps only the latest 500 entries. Older entries drop away when new changes are made, so download JSON or CSV periodically if you need a longer record. This is an informational activity log in a user-editable file, not tamper-proof evidence.
How is this different from the Gantt planner or notepad?
This tool tracks card transitions, per-column WIP and activity. The notepad stores free-form prose; the Gantt planner computes dates from durations and dependencies. This board does not predict schedules or resource capacity.
Privacy
Project content is processed only in this page's browser memory and is not sent to a server. There is no autosave, so download the JSON before closing the tab. The file includes card titles, assignees, descriptions and activity history.
