Checklist Runner
Use this for recurring inspections and preparation rounds. Starting a run copies the current template items and version, so later template edits do not rewrite earlier rounds. Record pass, fail, N/A or pending along with evidence notes. A run cannot be finalized while an item is pending or required evidence is missing. Failures stay in the unresolved report after finalization. Everything runs in this browser tab's memory; save a file before leaving.
Key features
- Versioned template items with an optional required-evidence rule
- Fixed item snapshots copied separately for each run
- Pass, fail, N/A and pending decisions with per-item evidence
- Finalization gate for pending answers or missing required evidence
- Locked finalized runs, history, complete project JSON and per-run CSV
How to use
- Explore the example or create a new project and add items to its template.
- Mark items that need evidence, name a round and start it.
- Choose a result for each run item and enter a photo ID, document location or observation as evidence.
- Resolve pending items and required-evidence gaps before finalizing; failures can remain for follow-up.
- Download the full project JSON and the selected run's CSV report for your records.
Use cases
- Check daily shop opening and facility safety conditions
- Track morning and afternoon event-venue preparation
- Record accessibility and link checks before a website launch
- Review only failures and pending checks for a follow-up round
Frequently asked questions
Will editing the template change past runs?
No. A run copies the item titles, evidence requirements and version when it starts. Later edits or deletions affect only the current template. Finalized runs are locked against editing in this interface.
Must every item pass to finalize a run?
No. Failed and N/A items are allowed, but no item may remain pending. A required-evidence item needs a nonempty evidence note for any selected result. Failed items remain visible in the unresolved list and CSV after finalization.
Can I attach a photo or file as evidence?
No file attachment is stored. Enter a photo ID, file location or observation as text so you can review the source later. This tool cannot verify that the note is true or that a referenced file exists.
Does the project save automatically?
No. It stays in this page's browser memory. Download the project JSON before closing the tab and import it next time. The JSON is user-editable and is not a tamper-proof audit record.
What is the difference between JSON and CSV?
The project JSON contains the current template, every run and their answers, and can be imported again. The CSV contains the selected run's items, evidence and unresolved reasons. CSV cannot be imported as a project.
How is this different from a notepad or Kanban board?
The notepad saves free-form text and the Kanban board moves task cards between status columns. This runner copies a versioned template for each round and checks fixed-item decisions, evidence and finalization rules.
Privacy
Templates, rounds and evidence notes stay in this browser tab's memory. Nothing is automatically saved or sent to a server. Downloaded JSON and CSV can contain sensitive inspection details, so review before sharing. The user-editable file is not tamper-proof audit evidence.
