2. Edit motifs

4. Save the tile

Save one tile, not the repeated preview. PNG uses the selected pixel dimensions.

Arrange circle, diamond and leaf motifs on a rectangular tile. Edit each motif's color, size, rotation and coordinates. The generator also draws motifs at corresponding positions in neighboring tiles, so shapes crossing an edge continue across the opposite edge. Compare the single tile and 3×3 repeat, then save the tile as SVG or a PNG at its chosen pixel size. This creates a vector-motif pattern; it does not automatically repair photographic seams or prepare press-ready colors.

When repeating the tile elsewhere, avoid cropping it or changing its aspect ratio.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a shape clipped at one edge also appear at the other?

The generator copies each motif at neighboring tile coordinates, then clips the result to one tile. Repeated copies of that tile connect along the boundary.

Can it automatically remove seams from a photograph?

No. This tool creates new circle, diamond and leaf vector motifs. It does not edit photographic pixel boundaries or synthesize textures.

What is the difference between SVG and PNG export?

SVG retains the tile's vector shapes. PNG rasterizes the tile at the selected width and height. The 3×3 repeat is for inspection; both downloads contain one tile.

Will the exported pattern always repeat without a seam?

The generated tile aligns its edge-crossing motifs when repeated at exactly the same size without cropping or unequal scaling. Further edits to the exported file can change that result.

Can I send the file directly to a fabric printer?

These are screen-oriented SVG and PNG tiles. Check the printer's fabric dimensions, resolution, color space and file requirements before production.

Privacy

Motif coordinates and image generation are processed in your browser. This tool does not submit your design to its server API.
