Frequently asked questions
What does 안녕하세요 become?
It becomes ㅇㄴㅎㅅㅇ. Each Korean syllable contributes its first consonant.
Are Latin letters and numbers converted?
No. Preserve-layout mode leaves them as they are. Initials-only mode removes spaces, punctuation, Latin text, and numbers.
Are standalone letters such as ㄱㄴ extracted?
They are not syllables, so no new initials are extracted. Preserve-layout mode keeps them; initials-only mode omits them.
Can the original words be restored?
No. Different syllables share the same initial, so information is lost. This tool does not restore words or romanize pronunciation.
