Booklet Imposition Designer
Keep the source's reading sequence while placing two pages on each side of a landscape sheet. Sources not divisible by four receive trailing blank pages. The output PDF orders sheet fronts and backs together and shows the layout for 8-, 12- or 16-page booklets. This handles a single saddle-stitched signature. Duplex flip behavior depends on the printer, so test-print one sheet first.

Frequently asked questions
What if the source is not a multiple of four pages?
Blank pages are appended to reach the next multiple of four. The preview and guide show the blanks.
Should I turn on booklet mode when printing the exported PDF?
No. The output already has two source pages on each sheet face. Disable any second booklet layout or fit-to-page scaling and print at actual size.
Should duplex printing flip on the short or long edge?
Landscape flip behavior differs by printer and PDF viewer, so a single setting cannot be guaranteed. Test one sheet in duplex and fold it; if the back is upside down, change the flip setting.
Does this handle bleed, trimming, creep or multiple signatures?
No. It fits pages for a single saddle-stitched signature. It has no printer bleed, trim marks, thickness-based creep adjustment or signature splitting.
Can it process rotated or encrypted PDFs?
Pages with rotation metadata and encrypted PDFs are explicitly rejected to avoid emitting an incorrect spread. Flatten rotation or remove the password in the source first.
