Text Diagram Editor
Place boxes by clicking a 60×24 grid and connect two boxes. When you drag a box or use the arrow buttons, connections follow the box IDs and find a new route. Download Unicode box lines, +-| ASCII lines, or an editable JSON project. Precomposed Korean syllables count as two terminal cells. Your terminal and font may display some characters differently.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from image-to-ASCII?
This tool lets you edit named boxes, positions, and connections directly. It does not convert photo pixel brightness into characters.
Do links break when I move a box?
No. Connections refer to stable box IDs and reroute through the grid when a box moves. A position with no available route is rejected.
Will Korean align perfectly in every terminal?
Precomposed Hangul syllables count as two cells and printable ASCII as one. Unicode width data cannot guarantee every terminal's rendering, so check the target font. Emoji and combining marks are not accepted in labels.
Does ASCII export translate Korean labels?
No. The ASCII option changes box and connector lines to +, -, and |. Korean labels remain Korean.
What are the limits?
The grid is 60×24 cells, with at most 18 boxes and 28 connections. Labels may occupy up to 22 cells, box width is 8–26 cells, and height is 3–9 cells.
Can I reopen and edit a saved project?
Yes. Select a locally saved JSON project. Imports are limited to 64 KiB; invalid IDs, overlapping boxes, and blocked routes are rejected.
Privacy
Box names and connections stay in browser memory. A selected project file is read locally and is not uploaded. Downloaded project JSON and text contain your labels, so review them before sharing.
