Frequently asked questions
Does the English interface test English spelling?
No. Both interfaces practice Korean. The English version translates controls, meaning hints and explanations, while sentences and answer options remain Korean.
Where do the questions come from?
The sentences and short explanations are newly written. The spelling and usage facts were checked against National Institute of Korean Language rules and language-advice materials. Each explanation links to its reference. This is not a test produced or certified by that institution.
Can both options be real words?
Yes. Some pairs are both valid in different situations. Choose the spelling that fits the specific sentence and meaning hint; the other word is not necessarily wrong in every context.
Can questions repeat?
An item appears only once in a session. Fresh sessions sample again, so an earlier question may reappear. The fixed example uses the first ten items in the same order.
Can I change an answer or reset the score?
Each question is scored from its first selection. Finishing shows your correct count and mistakes. Starting again replaces prior answers. A session ended early does not receive a final score.
Is this a certified language-proficiency score?
No. It only counts correct responses to this small practice set. It provides no qualification, proficiency grade, population percentile or comparison with other users.
Privacy
Settings and answers stay in current-page memory. The tool does not send them to a server or analytics event, or save them automatically. Reloading or leaving clears the session. Choosing a reference link opens an external NIKL page in a new tab.
