PDF Annotation Studio
Place highlights and sticky notes at PDF page coordinates and export actual PDF annotations. Zoom or rotate the screen view without moving their stored positions. Edit the review list, mark items complete, and save both a PDF and JSON report. Unlike a page organizer, this tool records document review comments.

Frequently asked questions
Are these real PDF annotations?
Yes. Selections become Highlight annotations and notes become Text annotations, with Contents and Review state. Their appearance can differ between viewers.
Does zoom or view rotation move saved annotations?
No. Coordinates are stored in PDF page space. Zoom and view rotation only change display. Some encrypted or complex PDFs are unsupported.
What happens to other existing PDF annotations?
They remain in the output PDF. This preview overlays annotations made by this tool and may not show unrelated existing annotations.
Does removing a note securely erase confidential content?
No guarantee. Prior annotation objects or incremental revisions can remain inside a PDF. Use a purpose-built true-redaction workflow for sensitive removal.
Will every PDF viewer show the same color and icon?
Standard Highlight and Text annotations plus appearance streams are saved, but viewers may render them differently. Check the output in your collaborators' viewers.
Privacy
Files are read and processed in your browser, without upload to this tool's server API. Downloaded PDFs contain your note text. Removing an item here does not guarantee secure erasure of earlier note bytes.
