Circle Profile Crop
Keep a circular part of a photo for a profile or document. Choose a square source area, then save the circle inside it as a PNG with transparent space outside. The result uses the selected source dimensions without resizing the image to a new target size.

Frequently asked questions
Is the image file itself circular?
The file has a square canvas, with width and height equal to the diameter. Pixels outside the circle in the four corners are transparent, producing a circular appearance.
Do X and Y describe the circle’s center?
No. They are the top-left coordinates of the selected square. The center is X plus half the diameter, Y plus half the diameter. The entire selection must fit inside the source.
Can I move the circle with the keyboard?
Yes. Focus the preview and use arrow keys for 1px movement or Shift plus arrows for 10px movement. You can also use the numeric fields. Movement stops at the source boundary.
Is the photo enlarged or resized?
The output retains the selected diameter in pixels, with no additional scaling. Browser decoding and antialiasing at the circular edge apply. Original compressed bytes, EXIF and other metadata are not preserved.
Is the checkerboard saved in the corners?
No. It is a display guide for transparency. Those pixels are transparent in the PNG and may appear against the background color of the app opening it.
How does the centered selection differ from dragging?
The centered option chooses the largest circle that fits in the source. Dragging chooses a square inside the rectangle between your start and end points. Numeric fields allow exact size and position adjustments.
